This year the basil gods have been kind to me. I have an abundance of basil growing in my dinky little balcony garden, and so I needed to dig deep to find all my basil inspired recipes to make sure I take full advantage of my basil bounty.
So if you are in the same boat and need some basil recipe inspiration, here are a few of my faves, that are not just pesto pasta.
I also did include my basic basil pesto which I love to make and freeze to have on hand to use as a pizza sauce, spread for sandwiches, and of course, add to pasta. It comes in really handy in the middle of winter when I miss all the summer things. Its like packing a taste of summer in your freezer.
