
I can’t believe Ramadan is a few days away already and, like many, I will be cooking up a storm this weekend so I have some quick easy meal options for meal prep so I have some good options for iftar and sehri.
Here’s a few things Im thinking of making this Ramadan:
Easy chicken shawarma – great to make ahead and freeze for later. Don’t forget the garlic sauce and roast potatoes!

Bhea Kebab are great for a quick sehri or for iftar. Just don’t freeze these, best to refrigerate and eat them within 3-4 days.

Mom’s Shrimp Biryani. Just like her fantastic chicken biryani but much faster to cook, especially when you are hungry and don’t want to spend an hour cooking biryani!
Another great one pot dish. Bukhari pulao has a really short ingredient list, and the only spices you need are salt and pepper! But the flavours are amazing! This does take a bit of time, but most of it is hands off cooking.

I pretty much give up on caffine in Ramadan, but with the heavy meals after iftar, I do like to have some green tea or this Kashmiri Khawa to help with the digestion and hydration!
