Just in time for Eid-ul-Adha and summer picnic season heres a roundup of some of my favourite desserts to make to either enjoy on a beautiful summer evening or to take a picnic or backyard get-together.
Hope you find some inspiration for your next summer dessert treat!
What is summer without mangoes? We are deep into Pakistani mango season and mango and rice is a staple in our house. Make it mango sticky rice and it is game over for all other desserts!
Despite the name, this can easily be a really refreshing dessert after a BBQ picnic and doesn’t take much to throw together. The combo of basil and watermelon is magical! Give it a go!
I love making a batch of scones on the weekend. Fresh blueberries and some lemon zest give this a fresh summery take. That and a cup of chai in the morning! Yum!
I can’t get enough of the fresh berries in the summer. This cream cheese pound cake is made with just 9 ingredients and goes great with whipped cream and fresh berries! The tanginess from the cream cheese adds a really nice touch to the creaminess of the pound cake.
If you haven’t already guessed I love having something sweet with my chai. This floral smelling lavender lemon tea cake is lightly sweet with a subtly tangy glaze that makes it so fresh.
Bananas, whipped cream and dulche de leche. And no oven needed!
Ending it with one more mango recipe. This no-bake mango cheesecake is perfect when you want dessert without turning on the oven!
