Something about the calendar hitting December and all of a sudden I am in the mood to bake! Hopefully you are too! Heres a quick roundup of some of my favourite holiday baked goods from the blog in case you are in need of some holiday baking inspiration!
Toblerone Shortbread Cookies
A basic shortbread with a triangle of melted Toblerone on top!
Mini Shortbread with Sea Salt
Addictively delicious shortbread in mini form. (I think you can tell what kind of cookie is a favourite of mine!)
Apple Pie Pop Tarts
Apple pie in mini form. These also freeze up beautifully!
Blueberry Scones
Something about a warm cup of tea or coffee and a freshly baked scone on a snowy day feels like the perfect winter activity.
Easy Biscoff No-Bake Cheesecake Cups
Anything with biscoff tastes amazing. But the fact that you dont even need to turn on an oven for these make it even better! Its a great one for little bakers to get started on their baking journey too!
Tuxedo Crepe Mille
This one is for those looking for something fancy to wow their guests. Or bring this as a hostess gift and everyone will be raving about it! Layers of thin light crepes with whipped cream in the centre. It looks super impressive, but is really not hard to make at all. And no oven involved!
Banoffee Pie
This one is for all my banana lovers. Bananas with dulche de leche and whipped cream! Yum!
Giant Biscoff Stuffed Cookie
Another fan favourite. Nothing beats a fresh baked cookie with a melty biscoff centre. I love making this one for birthdays too!
Easy Chewy Espresso Brownies
Chewy and chocolatey brownies with a subtle hint of coffee to really bring out the chocolate flavour.
Basic Sugar Cookies with a Simple Glaze
The possibilities are endless with this one. Make them into any shape you like. A slight hint of lemon in the glaze makes these super delicious. Great with a cup of coffee or tea. And they travel well. I mailed these to our family in Kingston and they arrived unharmed. Just wrap two cookies at a time back to back in plastic wrap, and then use loads of tissue paper in the box to make sure they don’t bounce around while in transit.
Sticky Date Pudding
If you love a sticky toffee pudding, this is the slightly ‘healthier’ counterpart. The sweetness comes from dates rather than processed sugar. But don’t worry, this is still a very sweet dessert for those with an extra sweet tooth!
Crispy Sevaiyyan (vermicelli) Bites
And of-course I have to throw in a dessert my mom always makes. If you haven’t tried these super simple bite sized yumminess give it a go! They are only a few ingredients. Almost like a rice crispy square- desi style!
